I replaced a vacuum hose coming off of this sphere today underneath the hood of the 76 electra. What is it? Is it a vacuum source or something?
Vacumm cannister... provides stable vacume source for accessories operating off of vacume... Cliamate control (if that year used vacume), cruise control, amongst others I can't rember.
Thingy Its also used when you change your heater control to vent, floor, bi-level defrost and all that..My heater didn't work and my cruise didn't work, hooked up a broken vacuum like to it "ball" and all better.. Bill
