Well, I finally got my car out of storage for good. Weather was great here today so I decided to go for a cruise. I'm on the highway, I-71, and I come up on a brand new Viper. Blood red. He sees me coming because I can see him looking and looking in his rear view mirror. So I'm getting ready too. As I get up behind him, he hammers it. I'm already in third doing about 75, so I nail it too and stay right with him up to about 100 mph. I think he finally realized that "Uh, oh. I'm not gonna just blow this guy away." So he slows down and we give each other the thumbs up as I motor on by. Nice and respectful of each other. (I know he would have started to walk away if we'd gone any faster) The I get off the highway in Strongsville and come up behind a newer R/T Charger at the light. He sees me too and starts revving it. No problem. I see the smoke come out of his exhaust as we round the corner, so I nail it again and drive right around him and get in front of him. He had dealer plates on it and now wants nothing to do with me. Finally, I'm at McDonald's. The high school must have let out and here's some kid with his friends in a SRT4 Neon or something. He follows me out of the parking lot and makes sure that he's lined up with me at the light. And away we go again. No problems here. We pull up to the next light and I can here his friend in the back seat say "He just handed you your ass, man!". He won't even look over now. I give him a nice little burnout as I pull away. Any way, that was my afternoon. God I love these cars. And to think I almost bought a 1967 SS Impala.
3 in one day isnt bad. Sometimes i drive around trying to pick or find a fight and have no luck. I want to show my car off too.:grin:
Playing with Vipers is something to be careful about! They are aptly named. Often the owners are the biggest d!@k$ on the planet. Nice to run across one that isn't. Great job representin (working on my street creds here :idea2: ) I think the Hemi motored stuff is way overrated. The only ones worth bothering with are SRT's (have not lost to one of those either.) Kind of like swatten flies. Hope it was a salesman with a customer you swatted. That older SRT-4 or the PT Cruiser Turbo can be bad news if it is set up with the stage 3 package. Don't ask me how I know. What is it about the youth of today who do not know to at least take a look at the tires of the opposition. They must think you put those 315's on the back for looks. :Brow: Glad you got a few kills in before the next snow! (they are predicting snow here this weekend!!)
Nice... first the WRX, now the dodge's... kill a mitsubishi evo and you'll have sh-t on every average 16 year old's dream car out there... :laugh: about the SRT4's and PT cruisers... I know they are quick, and especially quick with the stage 3 setup... a friend of mine has a stage 3 SRT4 and it really scoots... my stepdad also has a PT cruiser platinum edition... and it surprised me- I thought the only turbocharged PT's were the fugly colored ones- the "GT" package I think... anyways the first time I drove it I jumped in the PT and took off about 1/2-3/4 throttle down a nice wide road, I look down, and I'm doing 90!!! Damn thing rides and corners good too.

startin to wish I could kill 'em with the top down too... 69 skylark HT shell no rust needing paint, and frame... trade for 69 skylark ragtop shell in same condition, and frame... swap anybody? LOL :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:
Its easier to cut your top off and find a rust bucket convertible and cut out the trunk to qtr tops and make er topless. The windshield might be a lil harder to acomplish though. Dad used to do it for a living many moons ago. Keep looking, rag tops are around. :3gears:
haha its ok, when I got started looking I wanted a hardtop... a convertible would be cool... but when I'm finished building this monster maybe I'll pick up a 68-69, a ragtop this time, and have a home for my 350 and grab a 4 speed... something a little more mild for cruising... that won't scare the girls as much lol.
Again, great kills! I have a hard time finding people to race. I'd race any old car in my truck. I don't mind losing.
Yeah, those older neons can be deceiving. Most are slow as hell, once in a while you get the crazy ass turbo car. I don't know about you guys but everything I race I listen to the engine and how its driving and the tire width. A 500 hp civic is a lot slower with five in meats.
I used cruise around looking for anything to race nothing as soon as a put the car in the garage and take the family car out seems like every light I lined up with a Mustang. It sucks up here in Toronto new racing law if I even launch the car alone at the lights they can take your car away huge fine. I wouldn't even spin the tires now in front of the cops.
I look for people to race but I don't take off until they do. Unless I'm positive they wanna race. I don't want to look like a pissed off jerk. haha
