I should know but I can only wish for the day that I'm all knowing so any help is appreciated. This little summit has held up under alot of my abuse, (big number here :spank: ) clutch drops, sideways action, donuts in the snow for hours, driving through 10'' of rain, etc, but I've been babying it for the past month or so and this is the sight that greets me when I walk out to it for the past couple days. I've looked all over while running/not running and I can't find a leak anywhere. I'm guesing coolant+oil. Most likely a new headgasket? It doesn't smell (I did the old "stick the finger in the wierd goo and stick it 1mm away from the nostril" test) either which I thought was strange. This is the only drivable car at the moment so I'll be fudged if this thing goes out. :ball:

    Any confirmation/answers?

My test is to taste it. Sounds sick, but it will tell you if there is coolant in it. Sweet = problem. I've got a leaking Ford and when water gets on the oil leaks on the drive, it turns whitish.

Thought I had a oil and water leak until I figured out regular water got on top of the oil. Plus, no sweet taste. Whew!

Sure looks like oil frothed with water to me.

I cracked the block in my 63 nova and it kinda looked like that.

Is it that 2.0 liter overhead cam engine? Im guessing its probably a blown head gasket. Do you have a Stant pressure tester? If you do try pressurizing the cooling sytem to about 15lbs and see if you have anything dripping underneath. Maybe get it up on a jack stand and see if you see any water stains frrom underneath where the head meets the block. If its been leaking for a time there should be some staining or at least an oil trail.

It's the 1.5L 4g15 (mitsubishi). I don't have a pressure tester and the goo just started showing up a few days ago.
