What happens to Neutral Safety wires when converting to 4-speed?

    What happens or what do you do to the neutral safety wires when converting a car to 4-speed?

    I think the wiring has to be changed to plug into a switch connected to the clutch pedel? So the car will only turn over if the clutch pedel is pushed down. I'm not positive,I did a change over like that 18 yrs ago.And thats the best that I can remember.

    The clutch switches did not come out until later. Simply use a jumper wire between the poles to bypass it.
