I was gonna write about how you could win a trophy with this one:TU: :3gears: But I just let fly a belch that nearly knocked Beth off her chair. :Brow: Now that was cool:bglasses: :moonu:     D. Gyros for dinner tonight too:TU:
He broke the cap off his overflow tank:rant: I'd be afraid to SIT on those seats for fear of ripping the crap outta the fabric!!
Sadly that is a spitting image of my interior. But i had front AND rear mats. I think i have a dollar on me. Me want............/drools That is like factory...air pump, many rare options. Late 72' car determined by the "halo" roof. What i can't figure out is the little itty bitty screen above the speed alert?
The lens between the speed alert and trip odo knobs is for the cruise control on indicator light. It's very rare that the car doesn't have the factory bodyside moldings, but has some odd aftermarket type. The pin stripe is also not correct.
Halo roof type was available from day 1 in the 1972 model year, didn't we go through this before o No: ?
repaint the original body side molding probably went when the new paint job was done. A beautiful car none the less in a great color combo.
Erik, there's a little green screen right above the speed alert knob that lights up "Cruise" when the cruise control is on.
That "screen" is a little "cruise" light that comes on to let you know that the cruise control is on. Both of my Rivi's were equipped with it.
Nice car. Well preserved survivor. Why only two day auction is my question. No time to inquire on or inspect it. Trying to pull a fast one on an impulse buyer. Somethings up.
I know about the Trip set and Speed Alert. I took apart that whole section of dash. Erik, i know for sure that they are usually on the late 1972 Buick Rivieras, then for 1973 was standard.
Rob, There is something else in the photos that can tell you that this car was at least built after December 23, 1971........... Earlier Riviera:
Thanks for all the input guys! Reason it was pulled was because my father bought it yesterday and wired money to him. Once receiving the money, he pulled the car. I value all your opinions! Dad is getting old, so when he sees something he likes, he will get it. What blows my mind is the guy sold it for less than the bid on it!!! He says the pics don't do it justice. Guess we will see in 18 days!
John, thats so cool:bglasses: Tell your Dad we're all jealous:jd: And of course enjoy it :3gears: D & B
uhhh what's wrong with the pin stripe? The fact that it carries on through the doors up around the roof? Too bad he doesn't have the automatic climate control. Too bad mine doesn't work
Dana and Beth, Thanks!! I hope the car was represented well. We have never bought a car from Ebay yet that was in the condition that we were hoping for. Maybe this is the one. It was on the west coast, so looking at it was out. Crossed fingers.
