I got the one for my 64 a few years ago from Gasoline Alley Enterprises. Phone: 800-663-8128 Fax: 604-944-8468 Email: gasalley1@aol.com or sales@gasalley1.com in Vancouver. $130.84, fit nice. Thanks Bruce
All depends on what you're after. The HR Parts anti roll bar is one of the best on the market for a street/strip oriented car, it's just a little pricey. For a street car, the one mentioned in the previous post is fine, and there are other inexpensive bars on the market that will work fine.
If my car didn't come factory with a rear sway bar does it just bolt in to a stock location or do I have to make modifications?
Yes, but cars that came from the factory with rear bars also had boxed lower control arms. You can either box yours (welding required) or buy boxed ones. You can probably get away with a stock bar without boxing, but anything bigger should have boxed arms.
I hope your upgrading your front one at the same time. I picked up the OPGI set. it was cheap and worked great. however my setup needed 1/4" of spacers total (two 1/8" ones). it will corner completely differently. nate.
You don't have to. The kit for 299 from ground up will give you everything you need to install it. You need the boxed lower control arms to bolt the anti-sway bar to.
Hi, For my 64 I used the front sway bar from a 78 Camero RS bolted right in. Don't know if it work in a 68 though. Bruce
I recomend the Spohn Performance 918-Pro Touring, or my choice 922-Pro Race set up. Keep your lower control arms, you may want to box them or upgrade bushings. The Spohn bars a SOLID HEAT FORMED 4140 Chrome Moly steel as others may be cold formed or even tubular. Yes Spohn may be pricey to some, but in my opinion, well worth it. www.spohn.net Larry
