I know my interior is sandalwood which was complemented by the highly attractive green carpet

Does anyone know what color the dash is?

I am trying to paint match an aftermarket tilt column. The dash is darker than the sandalwood seats but it is not dark enough to be the saddle color (I think?).

Also does anyone know what color 3 spoke steering wheel would've come in a GS factory with this interior combo? Or is black the only option aftermarket?

I bought this car from the original owner's family when she died at 99 in 2021 so as far as I know the dash has never been painted or color changed.

    Thank you for any help

Dash is sandalwood too. The sport wheel for that interior would be sandalwood as well. Trying to find one will be like finding a broken piece of a needle in a lake. Black is the only color available aftermarket. I remember 72 had a green dash and carpet, and I think (?) sandalwood combo. Don't ever recall seeing a sandalwood interior 71 with green carpet though. Should be a similar colorway to sandalwood, just a bit darker (like dash color). Maybe some can chime in on the correct color for the carpet.

This car had the original build sheet under the carpet but it is in bad shape. Given how painfully original the car was down to the original emissions stickers, and complete service history at the local buick dealer, I am inclined to believe the green carpet was probably real. I am, however, replacing it with a tan color.

Thank you for the help I will try spraying the new column sandalwood and see how it looks.

Back in the late 80's, I bought 2 pints of lacquer for my sandalwood interior parts (1970 GS). The lighter shade was called medium sandalwood. The darker color was dark sandalwood. Both were mixed off the trim tag code.

That look like the color of my 69 skylark, however the interior code buckskin. I put a sandalwood carpet in it and it clashed badly. I was told that fawn was the carpet color which looks great to me. I had a local shop mixed me some paint to paint the steering column.

Max Damage I'm working on it!

I know it's just a photo, but I would say it looks lighter in color than my '68 Buckskin interior?

You can match the trim tag interior code at https://www.autocolorlibrary.com/. The codes, colors, and Ditzler codes are usually on Page 2 of the chip charts. Although it has been years since I have done any paint work, I would think any paint supplier could use the information to mix the correct colors.

Here is an example for 1971 interior colors....
