I agree with Bruce. I've had the best results with Phoenix.

I run a hoosier 10.5 radial slick. Tom Rix got the gse guy's started on these they seem to be worth some et. If you look at the stock elimanator class in NHRA you will see alot of them and that say's it all for me. These guy's spend more money on testing stuff than many do on there whole combo. I like the fact you run 22 LBS air pressure if you run less they won't work. The car drives like a dream at the tall end no wiggle at all. My car will sixty deep into the 1.30's off the foot brake at 3750. I think I will stick with them in the future. I know one guy that went to Good Years this year and plans on going back to Hoosiers. There is a couple of down falls one is the price they cost more second they don't live as long as bias ply's. My.02 worth

Personally.....I'm not sold on the Radials if you're using Trans-brake,Not sure they would like the "hit".

The converter in my Car is on the tight side so it is a little lazy and would probably hook on anything.

The Phoenix are a good tire on a heavier Car and you can't argue with the MT's either.....That is what most 10" tire racers use.

To date,I've run Goodyears at 12lbs and I'm afraid to change since these things are so expensive

Well it was enough to get me to buy a set of 29X10 Hoosiers, looking forward to this weekend to see if I can put her to the ground for a change.

Well if you mean for our Buick cars at the shows I have seen it pretty evenly distributed. But if you mean pro cars well Goodyear is the only tire. I'm gonna have to say I've heard nothing bad about Phoenix/Firestone.
