What body style (A-body, C-body, etc.) was the '70 Electra, and what model years was it produced? Also, what other GM cars shared it's platform?

I'm pretty sure about the Granville Brad.
After a vandal broke the glass out of my '72 Electra 4 door, a '73 Pontiac Granville 4 door was the donor for the replacement glass.
If it was a B body the rear door glass and rear window glass wouldn't have fit.

the major diff is After the rear doors .... granville=b
electra door will fit the ol lesabre on a 74 model. the electra back seat might be further back than th lesbare but you still climb through th same hole i believe.

Out of my own curiosity, I've asked the members of the Pontiac - Oakland Club to weigh in on the subject.
I'll let ya know what replies I get. :beer

    But WAIT!!! ...... theres more.
chevy and pontiac being the "lower class" lines didnt build luxo-boats (C-body). kinda like how they also were th only 2 to build the vega/astra body style.

THe only response I got to my question to the Pontiac-Oakland club was that in a speech at a recent convention, PMD historian John Sawruk stated that the Granville was considered upper B-C.
Thats still kinda vague, It either is or isn't.:Do No:

gm had the idea of sorting it all out kind of by stature classes.
caddy being the high line, then buick, olds, ponts and chevys in that order. but it really didnt have anything to do with stature or even taste as it did in good old american preference. i like buicks styling the best in the big cars and chevies the best on a-bodys, but i like alot of pontiac pre 65 b bodies alot too. my uncle has a 62 bubbletop chevy that he thinks is all that .... i would prefer the pont or even the buick in that body style for myself.

i have a 67 grand prix that is totally cool in design. i think pontiac let some non corperate thinker design that roof line and front end with the parkin light design and all on it. you always see articles about th GP vert for 67 (the only year a GP vert was made) but the 2 dr ht is kinda forgotten.

it has now been forgotten by me with all of my time being spent playin with th buicks ... i guess i ought to sell it and let someone else finish puttin it together.

    I like those too!
A fellow I knew about ten years ago had a '67 GP convertible.
It was nice, though the body was pretty much all bondo. :gt:
Looked great from 40 feet away.
