Hi, I'm a new member and don't know alot about Buicks, but bought a 66 skylark gs convertible that needs total resto. I bought because my dad had one when Iwas young and I really liked that car. Anyway was wondering if quarter panels are same as 67 and if doors and fenders are same. So if anyone could help on some parts and info I would really appreciate it. Thanks, Bob
Welcome Bob, Hood is a no go Front grill is a no go Front Bumber is a no go I know the front fenders are the same minus some cut outs that you may have to add. Doors are the same (Along with Chevelle doors I believe?... Any help out there on that?) Rear quarters are the same (99% sure anyhow). Rear bumper is different from 66 to 67 One thing is for sure... you came to the right place to ask questions and look for help as this is the best site going. Tom P.S. Post a pic of that 66 vert!:TU:
Ok, as a 67 Skylark owner, and avid parts hunter, here goes. Everything except front bumper, grille, headlight bezels, hood, tail lights, and rear bumper. You can use a 67 hood, but you have to have the grille and healight bezels to make it look right. I personally like the 67 style. Like mentioned before me, the fenders will work for either, but there are different holes in them for different applications (i.e. Skylark, special, different trim packages).If you have any other questions( as I've owned several 67's, and have a friend locally who has a few 66's) feel free to ask away.-Josh
