what are these wires coming off this third member

    The guy told me it had a spool, so there is no posi to lock up?

    I emailed him asking what is up and got no response. Its a Mark Williams unit.
    So, what are the wires coming out by the yoke?

    Just a guess here..... wires to hook up the rear ABS speed sensor on a newer model application?

    I think your right.

    Here is his response.

    "40-50 passesthe wires are for a computer pick-up---the ratio is 4:86 pro"

    That's a pretty hardcore looking third member for a racing application, Ford 9" maybe.

    The wires go to the pickup pointed at that ring you see on the yoke, which measures driveshaft speed.

    And a spool means the rear axles are locked together solid; no differential action at all.
