I am trying to find out what my 72 model 350 is out of.The exhaust manifold casting number off of the pass. side is 1236336 My block is 1241748(found out it's a 72 350 but what's it out of?) And my intake is 1249169.Any help would be greatly appreciated. What's the horsepower and torque and compression?

I can't tell you what it came out of but if it's a 72 engine there were only 2 possible HP ratings as long as it is a 4 bbl. engine. These numbers are net hp. just so you know. The GS was rated at 190 hp and the other was about 15 less than that. The only diff. being the GS had dual exhaust and a ram air intake. Engine alone is probably around 220 hp at the flexplate.

Look for the two digit Engine Code stamped on the block by where the dipstick tube is. Should be WC or WB for '72 any way you slice it they were all 8.5:1 compression from the factory. There were 5 different configurations for the 350 (150, 155, 175, 180 and the 190hp) and they could be found in the Skylark and LeSabre.
