    I saw those yesterday but didn't look close enough to notice they were painted chrome wheels. I'll bet those won't sell unless the buyer gets them for the center caps. :Dou:

    Any good painter knows if your going to paint chrome then you better sandblasted them first or the paint will peel. Lets hope the painter just sprayed them.

    For some reason I'm betting those were not sandblasted. I'd say they were painted right over the chrome.

    I would guess the guy painted since he was not happy with the condition of the chrome... When I had my plastic dash rechromed, I did the opposite: I could not mask 90% of the nice new chrome with black paint as it should be, then I left it all chromed + wood grain plus only small black stripes to make the chrome look better. Easier to paint the chrome later than removing paint...

    Those are 69-70 rims........ that's why those caps are like that.
