After visiting the Lakeville, MN show on Saturday, I got motivated to work on my Lesabre...I removed the passenger door panels as I'm working on some reupholstering and power window repair, and to my surprise what should I find? The build sheet in near perfect condition !! :TU: I can't begin to tell you what that means to me....finally, some history on my ragtop !!

  2. Hey, congrats on the find! I wish I could have been so lucky. My car underwent resto about 10yrs ago, not much chance of finding any paperwork now. Nothing in the stack of documents I got with the car either.

It was great to meet you at Chris' get-together on Saturday, it's always nice to be able to put a face with a name. Hope to see you there again next year, WITH the 'vert. :Brow:

Todd that is awesome, unfortunately for me I never found my sheet when I took it apart.

It's easy for me to say matching numbers doesn't matter, since my car doesn't have the original engine, etc. For A LONG TIME I thought my car was kind of a second class muscle car citizen because of that fact; I have since recovered my sanity.

I would love to be able to say it was ALL original, but I can't. So my objective is to make it as nice as I can, preserve it the best I can, but most of all enjoy it as much as I can.

Take heart non-numbers matching breatheren, there are probably ALOT more of us out there than you may think.

I love my car, I'm lucky to have it, and when I'm rolling down the highway with my wife and daughters with the top down life is good.
