That wheel has been on e-bay for a few months now....keeps getting re-posted as no one bites on that price. But you are right, someone building a concours car probably will eventually.
I thought the originals for '69-'70 were 16 inches in diameter and had the thumb groove. This one looks like the later 15 inch style without the thumb groove.
Yes, the 69-70 cars use the 16" wheel with thumb groove. The ebay wheel in the link is 15". Both the 15" and 16" wheels used the outer stainless ring 69-75. Corvette wheels pre-67 did not have the ring as I recall, and the center spokes were 1pc. instead of 2. The 70 GSX wheel is a different animal entirely. If someone here buys this wheel, I have an NOS black Buick horn cap that I will sell them for.....lets see......$500.00. Yeah, thats about right.
Supply & demand rules. I've been looking for a Sandalwood version for my '71 for a few years now. One on E-Bay about a month ago, '70 version with the thumb groove. Looked to be very good used condition. Sold for $415.00. I backed off as it approached $200.00.
Thanks Jim, for some reason I thought the description said 16". Regardless that is a ridiculous price! Hey, sell me that horn button, but lets be realistic.
Jim Thank you for looking. Didnt realize you had a nos one. Once again I need to read a little bit closer. Keep me posted.
