Do any of the 350 parts fit on the 300? My local parts shop can't seem to locate some of the basics (intake manifold gaskets, valve cover gaskets, etc.) for my 66 300, but they can for a 66 350 (go figure) What "soft" parts from a 350 will fit on a 300 if any? Thanks!
300/350 no 66 350's . not even a chevy they can get mixed up . if they can't locate a skylark 300 then have them look for a lesabre 300 or a special 300 - all the same engine wise as far as i know . front cover gskts / water pump probably same . oil pan maybe ? intake , exhaust , heads and valve covers probably not same as 350 . be sure the parts place you are using has at least one employee over the age of 40. have fun . drive fast . be smart . del
You should try Felpro gaskets that's where I got all the seals and gaskets for my 66-300. As far as I can remember the only interchange between a 300 and a 350 is in the timing chain area the chain itself, the gaskets, oil pump, water pump, fuel pump and distibutor. Possibly the oil pan, if it helps any Jeep also used these engines. Good luck PMBuick
Try another parts store...most places can get gaskets for these engines...try Auto Value, NAPA...even Auto Zone can get them! I love your vehicles!
