    All:

I just painted my valve covers with Duplicolor red. Unfortunately, in my haste some lint made its way into the paint job.

I think I can solve the problem by wet sanding before I clear coat. My question is, what grit(s) to use?

Its only a daily driver but I want to do the best job possible.

    Your advice is appreciated. :3gears:

I'd probably start out with some 800 and then move up to 1000 and then 1200 to get a real good look.

Unfortunately, I've done this. And spray can paint jobs just don't seem to lend themselves to wetsanding all too well.

Be careful on the edges as you'll cut through them in a couple of passes.

You'll most likely be applying some more coats of red when it is all said and done.

    Good luck.
