I was wondering if the guys going to this race plan on leaving there cars at the Track Friday night? Is this "safe"?? I know some may not race until Sat., I'm just trying to figure out if my car and trailer (open) would be safer close to me, where I'm staying, or at the Track. I'm still not sure if I'll Test and Tune Friday night yet either. I'm driving up Thursday, what are other peoples "plans"? Gary Giessen
Gary, I've considered leaving my car at the track also. John Schmidt I think, stays in his motorhome there and if Mike T. is there I'm guessing he'll be there in his motorhome. If that's the case, I think John, and maybe Mike would be willing to keep an eye on things. Sure would make it easier to travel to/from the hotel without a trailer. T&T Friday night is a blast. I'm thinking you have more race experience than I so you probably know all about night racing. I sure enjoy it, maybe because I have all day to relax and then get jacked for T&T. Then a couple cold :beer afterwards and it's a really LARGE day. Would be nice to T&T Friday night then just putt to the hotel and not worry about hauling the car back to the track at 0700. We'll be leaving Elko about 0600 so we should arrive LV early evening Thursday. Last year it was right at rush hour (5pm).. bad idea but it'll be what it is. Staying at Az Charlie's so if you see the white burb with the Orange Car pull up stop over and say Hi.
