    I think your "8[eight]K" is really "B[bee]K" which is the Kansas City Plant.

    I think the "8" is an 8 & stands for 1968 (prolly find a 4 in front of it). The "K" is the assembly plant of the engine (prolly Kansas City, I don't have the list in front of me).

    Your car was built at the "A" assembly plant. Who has the list handy? Clearly not the original engine, if that is what you are after.:Do No:

    It probably a Flint built car. The engine code on a 65 Riv is either LT for a 401 or LW 425 ot LX for a 425 2x4. It is stamped on the front of the block on the passenger side from where you found the vin stamped on the block. If you look on the data tag on the cowl you will probably see a FL on the top line for Flint.

    4 = Buick

    94 = Riviera

    47 = 2 drs HT coupe

    5 = Modelyear 1965

    A = Identifies factory (not listed for 1965, Riviera's were built in Flint, VIN code H)

    918529 = Productionnumber for that modelyear at the factory listed in the VIN
