Maine has some of the best tasting crab in the world as well. :eek2: Scallops? Unbelievable as well. Big suckers. I eat them raw too, while they're still moving. :TU: Only thing I'm not crazy about seafood wise from Maine waters is the shrimp. They live up to their name up here and have a softer texture than the gulf coast big guys. Plus my buddy goes off shore every year and always yields a tuna or two and a Mako shark once in a while. Good stuff. ....and that's just salt water! :Smarty:

By the way, I was just in Taiwan a couple weeks ago. Apparently the Taiwanese consumer thinks that if the fish does not still have the head on, then the kitchen might not really be giving you a fish.
