I found this four door 76' electra for 300$, the car is in ok shape with the rallyes, metal is all good, and engine seems fine. The car had been sitting since 99' and I had to help them get it started. There was very little' pressure in the brakes, and a lot of slipping in the transmission, is this common for a car that has been sitting, or is it something that would have happened before the car was parked? I can't keep it, but I was thinking about getting it, taking some bits, and maybe parting some stuff out and then take it to the yard. Anyone need any parts from one of these?

will the fenders and hood fit? :Do No: :Brow: :Brow: :spank: :spank:

seriously i wouldnt run that motor for too long the gas in the tank is bound to be bad also if its been sitting for 6 years with a transmission leak it probably would slip :Brow: did you check the levels?

Checked the levels, seemed to be ok. The guy who is selling it for his grandmother had put a few gallons of fuel in it, I got it running on a small bottle directly connected to th fuel line. The car would barely move forwards or backwards, something wasn't ok. It was quite clean under the hood, and the interior wasn't too shabby either. If I had a couple of steel wheels I would have traded him for the rallyes plus some cash, but I don't feel like spending 15$ / steel wheel exactly and then add some cash for the change too. I don't think the fenders work, it was different at the bottom. Hood ? I don't know. I'm going to check in with him in a few days to see what has happened. I'd like to get the carb, and work on it myself then flip the wheels, HEI, power window motors were real good, and maybe some other stuff. We'll see what happens.
