Finally got the 425 Wildcat running. Still need a gas tank but had a gas can to keep her running.

Nit bad but have a nice ticking from a lifter. Have to throw in some Sea Foam later and see if that quiets her down. Also need to find out why the brakes are shot, pretty sure it is the wheel cylinders. New tires and she will be on the road.

Too bad it took getting my wagon totalled to get started on it.Live and learn plus getting off my butt.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Hey I recall reading a way to adjust those rockers in the buick manual if you can get your hands on one. Seafoam might work to though... congrats on the 425!

I would stick a quart of Marvel Mystery oil in it.

I have one that ticked, just took an oil change and running it for a while. I used regular oil wit a Lucas additive that has the zinc in it.

Well, the good thing is I let her sit for a few hours and she fired right over, beautiful.

I dumped a quart of Sea Foam in the crankcase and dribbled a quart into the line from the brake booster and the tick is mostly gone. Once I get a tank or fuel cell, get the brakes fixed and some new tires,I will change the oil and she should be good to go.

I appreciate the advice guys, and trust me,they are written down just in case.
