So we were coming home from the local cruise night, and pull up next to this really sharp looking '62 Bonneville. Cherry bombs, chrome exhaust pipe tips, the whole 9 yards. I wanted to give the guy the thumbs up, but he wouldn't even look over at us. Next thing I know, the light turns green, and and I hear this thing making all kinds of noise and pulling ahead of me! Caught me totally off guard........What? A Pontiac pass a Buick, no way!! So then I dropped 'er into low, and punched it to the boards, and I was amazed how fast I creamed that thing.........I mean, we blew right past him, and he had quite a head start. I guess that dual quad Nailhead has more balls than I give it credit for. :Brow: Next time I see that one at a cruise night, I'm going to see what's under his hood.........I always thought those came with 421 or 326.........maybe he trasnsplanted a chivvy into it? :3gears:
i find that their are people who are like that. they won't even look over at you because they think their car is the bees knees and yours is junk. Whenever I see an old car I'm always checking it out, even if it is junk I always pay attention to it. Just last week their was a guy in an Infinity and some other foreign car messing around. The Infinity blew it away and we pulled up to the light next to it and I was checkin it out, of course he wouldnt look over. Then another guy comes around the corner, looks right at me, and goes NICE CAR MAN and gives me a thumbs up, the guy in the infinity didnt like that  Awsome kill though, I would imagine a dual quad 425 Nailhead is a boatload of fun. :TU: :3gears:
Yup, some folks are too wrapped up in themselves to relax and enjoy other people's stuff... :moonu: their loss. If/when you meet him, smother him in Buick friendliness!!! :bglasses:
i wonder how is the throttle response with the dual quads and whats the best way to launch? my nailhead isnt done yet and still wont be for a while also i havent seen a dual quad nailhead in action before. by any chance do you have any soundclips? :3gears:
