ok here it goes i have a 1965 buick skylark with the 300 and the ST300 2-speed transmission but ya here's my problem turn off my car and take out the key and my generator light stays on so for now i just unplug it when i turn off my car and then plug it back in when i go somewhereso ya i was wondering if anyone knew of some reason why it may be doing this so if anybody knows please respond o No: and it doesn't seem to be major but it may turn out to be so the sooner the better
well according to the 65 manual,a bad diode in the alternator will cause that problem. The book says to replace the diode,but replacing the whole alt. would probably be a time savings.
thnx man i thought that may be the i don't have original paper workand the paperwork i do have is for the GS which really helps me in teh motor area very little
