I was talking to a guy with a 58 impala and he said I could use their weatherstrips on my 58 special. Is there any truth to this? I looked at the doors and they look very similar. He also said the front and rear windshields were interchangeable. Any info from you guys is appreciated
Windshield #W514 fits; Buick 57-58 Spec and Century Riv Coupe and conv., 58 Spec. Riv. Sedan, Spec. 2 Dr. sedan, Spec. and Century 4 Dr. Sdn., Olds 57 Holiday Coupe and conv.,58 Olds except Sedan and H.T. S.W. Not 58 chev. at all. Steele Rubber Parts lists different part numbers for the two weatherstrips and I do not think they are interchangable. I think there was a W514 windshield on ebay recently. If you need w/strip I would order them from Steele. See www.steelerubber.com They will send you a free catalog. Rear glass #B550 fits Buick 58 Spec. and Cent. except Conv. and Est. Wagon , Olds 58 except conv. , Sed. wagon and Holiday Wagon. No Chevys. Good Luck, John Zeleznik
