    Hello all,
I want to replace all of the weatherstripping on my 1972 Skylark hardtop coupe. In this process, I also want to replace that metal and rubber piece (I do not know what it is called) that is fixed to the front side of the rear side windows. Does anyone have any idea where I could find these?
Also, mine are not fixed firmly to the rear windows. When I roll the back windows down, I have to take these off first and put them in the floor so I do not lose them. Can anyone give me a hint on how to fix these to the window more securely? Thanks much.

Mike several reproductions are available . The ones you have if they are not pitted can be reused with a urethane window sealer . The chrome piece has to be glued onto the window . The rubber and chrome are available from vendors like TPP and Year One . Also remember if the window is not aligned ands adjusted correctly you will have problems .

the hardware pieces are called "quarter chromes". i took my car to standard autoglass and had them intall the quarter chromes with their 2-part epoxy glue. they use masking tape secure them in place while the glue dries.

  4. I have come accross a pretty cheap place to get replacement rubbers.....weatherstripspecial.com you might be able to get new everything for around 125 bucks. Not too bad and cheaper than EvilBay.
