I have only been on V8buick for a little over 2 1/2 years. I was thinking it would be beneficial
to all of us if we had a Travel Site for OUT of state car shows,
    especially Buick shows.
I would like to go to out of state events but I don't know anything about these areas.
So, if members have been to these shows, they could add so great information, like the following.
    1. Good Hotels & Motels.
    2. Safe, crime free (as possible) areas that I don't have to worry getting my Buick stolen or mugged
    3. Other places my wife would like to go to, like quilting shops.
    4. Good restaurants to eat at or where a lot of the Buick folks like to handout at & bs about their cars.
    5. Other area places that are good to visit or site see.
    6. If my car breaks down, a known repair garage that does good work that isn't going to rip me off.
    7. Car show websites where I can buy show tickets in advance and may also recommend good local Hotels and Motels that if I have to cancel reservations I can get my money back.
    8. Would love to hear Mr. Manner's speak about Buick's performance efforts and rise in the muscle car era. I hear he goes to BG offend. Don't know his age but he must be up there.
    9. I'am sure I have left out some questions that some of the forum members can add.
    10. Maybe the type of weather we might run into.
    11. Best travel routes/roads to take.
Appreciate it anybody thinks this is a worth while effort.
Thank you all in advance. Vet (Navy)

I've said we need one for ppl to post travel plans if they're willing to transport parts or one-way unloaded trailers, etc.

That's a good idea. That could be added. Vet

Well i'am not sure my suggestion is going to take off because there is a Buick Events and Clubs, under the Community section. Maybe I should just ask my questions per specific car events I might plan to go to? What do you think? Vet

It's fun to hear about other parts of the world/US but for car shows that might be better.

I live in Bowling Green, KY, home of the Corvette and GS Nationals. If anyone needs info about this area, I might know or know someone who does. Worst case, I can go lay eyes on a place/thing. I've also offered to be a receiving address if anyone needs something sent that they wouldn't get in time. I can hold it or even transport to the GS Nats.

Love it or hate it, pound for pound, Woodward Dream Cruise has the most classic cars in the world. https://www.woodwarddreamcruise.com/
I've met several people from outside the US who come down there every year just for the show.

If you're looking for the safest place to park your ride, M1 Concourse is first class all the way. https://m1concourse.com/woodward-dream-show-home/
Been there done that a couple times. Park you car in a designated spot around the track. No worries. If you're bringing your daily driver you can find a spot just about anywhere.

On the day of the show its a 8 lane north and south parking lot from 8mile to 16mile (25-30mph), but after that it opens up for a nice ride from 16mile to 20mile rd around the loop to Pontiac and back.

Pontiac is off the hook. In 2 days the concrete will turn to black top.

This Aussie is interested, especially since we'll be in Canada & the USA in April-June.
The 'some thing for the wife to do' is a great idea. Happy wife, happy life.
