Hi. My name is Jerry from Raleigh area, NC and we are excited to join. My first Buick was a 1968 Buick Special Deluxe 2 door post car I owned in the 1980s. After high school, like many of us with regrets, sold it. Then in the 90s, I bought a 1968 Buick GS400 4 speed convertible in about 30 boxes. My Dad and I put it together, but did not have the 400 engine or the 4 speed, so we put a 350 engine with a 350 transmission.I drove that throughout college and then sold that. Another regret now, but life goes on. Both of those Buicks were in western NY. I am pretty sure I have seen the convertible around, But not sure about the Special. Then I bought a 1968 Buick station wagon and sold that. Then, we bought a 1972 Buick skylark convertible in 2005 which we still own. Then about 6 years ago, I finally bought my first BUICK BIG BLOCK car. My 1968 Buick GS400 convertible. It needs work, but is mostly complete. But looking forward to have Buick experienced members from this site to help our project and hunt for parts. The story behind the photo is My daughter was standing by the car and I asked her to take a photo by my GS, then she stopped and said "No Daddy, Myyy GS." Thank You for your time.
Thanks Everyone. It looks like there is a lot of information here and a lot of knowledgeable people. And a great resource for parts. I am excited to keep everyone informed of our Buick projects.
Welcome from near Atlanta to the home site of the Stepchild Nation! I’m enjoying my second ‘68 GS400, also a ragtop. We like pictures! Patrick
