my 72 cuttlass with a 350 in it was running hot and i just replaced the thermastat with one of thoes high proformance ones to make it run cooler so i wont to know if the waterpump is shot and if theres an easy wat to tell if it is bad like undoing a hose then trying to crank it to see if its pumping fluid through or something like that thanx
Runs hot for a several reasons: 1. Make sure you have a 7 blade fan and thermostatic clutch 2. Fan shroud in good condition 3. Timing is set to max advance 4. Carb is jetted correctly 5. Use a 160 t-stat
