Hi , I recently hear noise from the front of the engine , at first I thought It was the Water Pump bearing who made those tick tick tick ....

As the mechanic take off the fan and pulley , he saw the pulley was cracked around the 4 holes .

I wasn't able to locate any one nearby to replace it :Do No:
So I went to both YearOne and OPG website , and I think I found the right one on OPG . By the way .. no one here has a spare one for sale ?

Unless we try to fix the old one , can anyone has change this pulley on a 1968 350 c.i., 2 bbl . non a/c . single grove pulley

Here is the link to what I think he's the good one . Does it take long usually to have the order ? They're are 2 prices ... 49,95$ and 63,70$

    OPG link

    Thank you !

  3. put it on a flat surface and measure through the center and up to the top of where it mounts and give me the measurment. the set up is on the skylark in the yard yet 2bbl, non air, 350, power steering. let me know ghildebrand@wi.rr.com. i'll measure it the same way and make sure its right if you want to go used also the width of it

Ok , I'll measure it tomorow , through the center like you said and also the distance between hole from center to center

I'll try to take picture of the pulley too , to be sure

If it's the good part , how much you want for it ? Can $ or US $ , If we have a deal we'll see then for the shipping and method of paiement , i'm in Quebec Canada

    Thank you

You should also take a good look at your spacer and water pump, the mounting surfaces should be nice and flat. A damaged spacer/ water pump flange will cause the failure you've described.

  7. your correct, a bit of dirt or a piece of thick grass on either side of the mounting surface will cause that.

I had this problem with one of my cars and broke three pulleys before replacing the water pump which had a small imperfection in the flange.

    here is some numbers....

1 5/8 from the inside ... (water pump side) I consider the spacers too

1 7/8 from the outside (overall size)

The hole in the middle is 5/8

    The 4 holes are 5/16plus (11/32?)

Center to center of the 4 holes (fan holes) 1 1/4

    Diameter is 6 3/4

    Strap groove 3/8plus

    That's about it , i'm having a 2h15 drive (4h30 aller-retour) to see a 430c.i. pulley , hope it fit !

Thank you so very much for the help ! I can't wait to start the Skylark , it's been a week tomorow(friday) that I hasn't touch it .... :-(
