Probably been asked a million times, but using the search box I couldn't find the answer. The twin turbo car blew the water pump gasket...... Question is sealant or no sealant when replacing the gasket????
normally, no sealant is required as long as both surfaces are clean, flat and smooth. I have, in the past, placed a little sealant on both mating surfaces and then installed the gasket & pump.
