Is there a Water Outlet Restrictor available for the Nailhead?

I know that the thermostat is the same as Mopar 440's, and I cannot seem to find any restrictors for those either.

I can get my neighbor to make them on his Bridgeport if I cannot find something that is already on the market.

    Thank You,

I have seen them made by taking the center out of a thermostat. Also a large washer.

Probably a stupid question but why do you want to do this?

It slows the water down so it can have time to pick up the heat from the engine before going to the rad. , but is not as hot as running a thermostat. Mostly done on drag race engines only. A nail head runs best at about 160 deg. or so. just enough heat to make the fuel vaporize good. BUT oil reaches its best lubuicy at 180 deg. so it is sort of a catch 22 situation.
