Both of my Buicks 70 gs 455 and 70 stage 1 leak in the rain. The water seams to puddle on the front floor mats. I can not figure out where it is coming in. Does any one have any ideas? Duane
Most likely from the lower corners of the windshield. Front and rear windshield leaks are common on these cars, especially if they have been sitting for awhile.
I could not figure out why mine leaked into the trunk untill we pulled the vinyl top off and there were all little pin holes in the metal from rusting you could have the same problem up in the front water channel. Bill
I just got my windshield resealed. Mine was leaking from the top. If you decide to get this done make sure before you put the glass back on remove any rust or it will not seal properley. At least that's what I was told.
Ive got one for you. I had a leak in my 71 GS when I first bought it. At first I thought it was the windshield. Finally found out that it was a seam under the windshield that was never cauked properly from the factory. Get under the dash with a flashlight and have the wife spray water on the car with a hose. You may be able to spot it that way. Jason
Mine leaked through the cowl seem - the part covered by the fender. I had to remove the fenders to seal it.
