was there an option for luggage rack

    for the trunk of a 70 electra also for the convertible . did people buy them and were there universal racks,marty

    No. There wasn't anything like a luggage rack or fitted luggage for the Electra in 1970. For the convertible there would have been a wheel cover available, but I think that's about it. In the Canadian cars I've seen from that era, there wasn't even any cardboard fillers or mats available, most just had a bare trunk with a plastic cover on the trunk floor and that was it.

    Fitted luggage was available in some cars back into the 30s, and on Mercedes until the early 60s.

    Id be willing to bet JC Whitney or somebody made universal luggage racks in the 70s.
