Got email from scammer offering a second chance offer to buy Mark's car at my bid . I reported to ebay. These guys need to be hung up by the b---s.
I've received bogus 2nd chance offers on every car I have bid in the last 2 months. Funniest one was for the red Stage 1 project car that just ended a couple of days ago; the 2nd chance offer said "car runs great and has new tires" but the engine in the ebay ad didn't even have cylinder heads on it ou: . ebay is definitely a breeding ground for crooks. Gotta be careful
Come on John, Tell us how You REALLY FEEL :laugh: Have had numerous 2nd chance offers on items & some of the cars, as have most of us. Yes they are some sort of Scam. People Phishing for information. Had 1 this morning on some Sunglasses I supposedly bought or Sold o No: (now where is that Delete Button?) ebay Does catch somethings, others they don't. They caught the 53 Skylark for $1600 the other day, in all of about 15 Minutes, ad was gone (Fully restored Car) Haven't checked on the 54 for 7.300 in a while. JR
I just got one on for Adam Martin's Centurion that I bid on yesterday. It's listed here in this section. It had me going for a second, because I was a little sorry that I got overbid, and had resolved that inner conflict that I should have bid a little more, you know the feeling. Didn't see the bogus email attached to it. So decided to check myebay and didn't see it there. But as you have experienced you get one on almost every car you bid on these days. They must be having some success I'm sorry to say, all we can do is preach to our Buick buddies to be careful.
