I am interested in getting a GS. Does the 350 motor really cut the value? If so by how much?

If you want to get a good deal on a GS, buy a 350. They are still reasonably priced. The small block is a torquey little engine that makes good power. The 350 cars can be had for a lot less than an original 455 car in similar condition. Same looks, just havent cought on like the big blocks. Ive owned many a GS 350. I would highly recommend one.

Yes but it appears that you now have only 455's :3gears:

Thats from years of buying and selling. Ive owned my share of small block GS's, Skylarks and 455 cars. If you can afford a 455 car thats the way to go, but youll be paying top dollar for a 70-72. I consider the GS 350's a sort of entry level GS. I believe they are very undervalued right now. Good deals can still be had. If you want a nice BB car, talk to Mike Garrison (racebuicks) on the board. Hes got a really nice 69 GS 400 thats dirt cheap.

    68-69 vs 70-72

Too bad. 69's are super cars. 68's are neat too, and according to popular opinion here, pretty much underappreciated. :Smarty:

I got a super deal on my 69 GS 400 convertible. Low milage < 30K) and although it is in need of some work, it is a very respectable solid car and the price was way too good to pass up.
