I've been looking for a car for a while and I've realized that I've been limiting myself by just searching for 70-72 Skyark GS's. I really want a car that's setup for street/strip use. I plan on using this car on the street half the time and the other half on the drag strip. I'd actually prefer a roll cage, but it's not necessary. I'm looking for any Skylark or GS. Basically any year upto 72. I have my own engine/trans combo for a car, so a roller would be perfect. I would also consider a grand national setup this way. Let me know what you have. Thanks.
Brian,what do you think about a GN with a BBB in it?It's a driver with 10.9 to 1 compression,my son drives it to the track on 93 octane and puts some cam-2 for the track?The car has run high ten's and it's very streetable. It has 14 inch tires,the rear was notched,with a roll bar legal to the 9's and it has tubs. Beautiful car,fiberglass hood and the rest all works.It's my son's car in NC.BrunoD.
Brian, I am located in South West R.I. and have a 70 frame in real good condition, southwestern car origianlly. Has disk brake in front, 12 bolt 373 spool rear, edelbrock upper and lower rear control arms. Frame has light scale only. Rear axles are 40 or 45 spline. Skinny cragars on front, and chevy rallies, i believe ten inch wide on rear, racing slicks on rear, new tires on front. I also have a 70 2 door post car in good condition, or 71 a/c car in real good condition,,,,this is the body i was orginally going to use for my protouring project but ended up with a 70 couple that worked better for me. This frame comes with roll bar. I have other things like the racing seats, autometer guage pillar post setup. B&M shifter new, complete, racing seats, original booster and master from this frame that worked perfect up until i pulled the body.
