Hey Rich, I know a guy that lived in Midland for a while and has move to Las Vegas that had a 1970 Stage 1 that had almost no options, 4 speed , no power anything with trailer towing package that was in need of a restoration. If he hasn't changed his number I'll check and see if he wants to sell. He was not a Buick guy, just had one of everything all needing work. I'll PM you if I get hold of him. Later
Yes, bench/ 4 speed, talked to the guy and he said no way would he sell it. He had it varifide by Wayne Roberts as a real Stage 1, low option, he bought it in Las Vegas, move to Midland for a year then move back out there. He is a body man from New Jersey orginally I think.
Yeah he told me he was selling it because of a divorce. Later someone sent me the link to Vegas Craigslist. I wondered if he moved. DL
This one is cheap, take the race stuff out and sell it. http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/carsforsale/buick/gran_sport/1337772.html Here's a 1972 http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/carsforsale/buick/gran_sport/1292805.html
Evidently, mine has too many options for you. PS, PDB, AC, AM/FM, Rear Def, Pass side tri shld mirror, tilt whl, rallye steering whl, guages and clock, etc. Original trans, replacement motor and rear end gearing/suspension parts. It was a race car once upon a time but a certified real Stage1 based on VIN and original trans plate. You think that PS, PDB, AC will slow you down that much?
