    Hi folks,

I am looking for a (factory assembly manual) to use with a 71 Riviera.

From what I understand there are no more copies available? Which documentation
    should I use instead?

I did not find any 71 Riviera assembly manuals on ebay.

Can I use the 72 Riviera stuff? What are the main differences?

I've never been able to find a 71 big car assembly manual. I see 72's on there all the time, and just bought one of those.

... so I understand a 72 Riv manual will do.

Michael...on the http://www.buick-riviera.com/ site you may find (parts) of the 71 Chassis Manual in pdf-files (click "restoration" and "service manual"). As you know 71 differs slightly from a 72, but i think that a 71 Chassis Manual will cover all your questions.
Never seen a 71 assembly manual

You can get chassiss manuals all the time. They help a great deal, but when you're trying to assemble a car part by part, it doesn't do much good.

I would pay big bucks for a 71 big car assembly manual.
