If any one has a nice dust shield / torque convertor cover for a TH 400 that will fit a 1970 GS 455, I'd appreciate a PM or email or post! :TU: - Bill
If you have a TH350 one, it can be made to work. The main difference it that the opening for starter is not large enough for the big block starter position. I have made them fit by using a hacksaw to trim off metal from the outer edge of the starter opening. Want to say something like 1/4 inch or so. Of course finding a TH400 one is the way to go, but this does work until you find one. Mark
Sorry Bill I was reminded this is the cover for the Tranny I have at Tri Shield. I can try and find another Wednesday when I stop a yard if nobody else has one. Sorry for the mistake Ed:ball: :error:

cover Thanks Dave and Ed - I'm in no hurry, been running without one for a while but you never know when a rock is going to go where it shouldn't!! :af: I would like a nice one, so if you find one keep that in mind. Thanks for your help - Bill :TU:
dust pan hey bill, i got one you can borrow for a while, but i would want it back someday. if you want to throw in some bucks, i can include a 70 GS 455, its even red with a black vinyl top and black split bench seat. :Brow: on a related matter, ever see a buick engine lock up suddenly ? i parted out a 70 sportwagon 20 years ago after a bolt backed out of the torque converter, and caught on the back of the block, and it wudnt pretty. it went from 50 - 0 in about .5 seconds. the thing had a piece of the camshaft sticking out the side of the oil pan. there was nuthin left of that engine. anyhoo, send me a PM. henry
Bill, Sorry for the delay but I am back home and settled in finally. Drop me an email when you can and if you still want it, I will send you a pix of the cover I have here. I got one like pictured above.................... Later...................
Thanks Thanks all! I found the two I needed (70GS and 68 LeSabre) at the BPG Nats! Take care out there! - Bill :TU:
