Does anyone know of any Apollo GSX's available for sale or trade. I have been looking for one for a long time and most are complete rot boxes.
Why not buy Tom Rix's car its very nice. I do know of one near me thats low mile but its not perfect. Stripped down and ready for body and paint work. A local kid has doing it for racing with a SBC He might sell.

I had one a while ago and I don't believe they were offered in that color. I had a red one and the only other color was offerd was white. Someone correct if I am wrong. George

Yes I retracted my bid because the seller would not contact me to discuss the authenticity of the car. No communication-no buy. Simple.
How can you identify if its a GSX or not on a apollo ? Seems like its just a sticker and nothing else ??????
An Apollo GSX is identified in the vin#. I am not at home but if someone needs this info I have it. PM me and it will remind me to look it up this weekend. I have an Apollo GSX and 2 other apollos. I already sold a forth one. I also have all the dealer books. None of this info is for sale so don't ask.
Prior to restoring mine ,I tried to aquire as much info as I could on the Apollo GSX. One piece of documentation that I dug up is a BUICK CAR DISTRIBUTION Model-Option-Trim-Specification Guide BULLETIN NO. 74-16 December 18,1973 (It reads as follows) To all Buick Dealers: On November 29,1973, We forwarded Bulletin No.74-13 announcing a new GSX option being available on the Apollo. We have completely revised this option package making it much more competitive in todays market. The GSX option will be available on the XB17 and XB27 models. It will continue to be available in four colors: Code C Arctic White Code M Canary Yellow Code S Silver Cloud Code W Apple Red The GSX package will consist of the following equipment: Sport mirrors Body side mouldings Specific ornamentation with accent striping Blacked out grill With the change in the equipment, there is also a corresponding price change.
