Hi all, putting out the feelers for a few parts, driver quality. I’m located in Alberta, Canada. Looking for: -72 headlight bezel (passenger side but will look at a pair if necessary) -72 hood lip trim -72 tri-shield hood emblem -72 plastic grille in good shape - (edit) I am second in line for one in parts for sale, but let me know in case it sells Let me know what you may have kicking around… thanks!
There are a lot of used hood emblems on ebay (search for 1239810, 1229945, or 1241386) or you can buy a reproduction as seen here (I've not seen a reproduction in person to confirm the quality). Strangely there are a couple of different versions, one with a smooth background and one with vertical ribs. My very early production '72 Skylark has the smooth style and the ribbed style is on my very late production '72 Skylark. Here is a emblem with the smooth background but the clear plastic has fallen out: ribbed style with plastic still in place. Ribbed style after the clear plastic has fallen out:
