Yes, I'm still looking for a 70 GS 4 -speed. MUST be a 4 speed and a 1970! I prefer a NON A/C car but am willing to consider others. Can be original or not, a GS 455, stage-1 or GSX clone could be a mild project or have no engine but must not be a major bodywork project, although a DONE car would be best. I have up to $45k cash waiting! To all those that had suggestions on whose car i should buy or should have bought, please dont judge me because i didnt buy your friends car or a car that you liked or whatever the situation...when i find the right car for the right money thats right for ME, i WILL buy it and not until i find that right car! Theres been a few close calls and cars that got away! Please only call or email me with cars NOT advertised online, maybe a car your considering selling or a friends car, you get the picture! Thanks- Ray 508-822-0603 :3gears:

what about a 4 speed convertible or does it have to be a hardtop? What if it has a/c? what colors are a no go?

Only looking for a hardtop chris...as far as colors...im open to alot but not a big fan of brown or golds, but ill consider alot of cars i guess it just depends on condition, price, what work the car needs etc. Im trying to hold out for a Non A/C car but if the right car with the right combo has A/C i would consider it! Thanks- Ray

    Ray,

I just read in the "Cars for Sale Leads" section that Randy Peck is going to sell his Apollo White 70 Stage 1 GSX 4 speed clone. It is a very nice car, and Chris should be able to answer any questions you have about it's history. I wish I had the resources to make it happen, but now is not a good time for me. :ball:

    Good luck!

Man, those 4 speed cars are seeming to be a tough find anymore...To think back when they could be ordered most people opted to pay more for automatics.Boy,to have the open sightedness in 70 to have bought a few 4 speeds knowing in the future they would be super hard to find, you could have made a mint. I hope you find one as I know your past cars were nice cars.

    Ray,

I know you are looking for a tough car to find. Since I sold mine, I have had several people contact me wanting to purchase it. Looks like I let it go about two months too early. We settled on a price fair to both of us, and it went to a great home. I would venture to say that it will not be back up for sale for many years.

    Thank you.

Yes, it went for a reasonable undisclosed figure. Like most restorations, there was a great deal of time and effort that went into that car. The current owner is ecstatic to have it. He and I talk from time to time, and I don't think he has ever regretted purchasing it. However, I have never stopped regretting selling it. It was time for me to let it go and move on though.

Good luck on your search. I have chased five different cars that I knew of prior to selling my car, and none of those deals have worked out to be what they were said to be.

I see you sold your car. That Stage1 of yours was a spectacular! Whoever purchased that beauty, is one lucky person! Jim

John, is the car in your avatar the car you sold? I had a silver w/ balck vinyl 70 Stage I 4speed car that I let get away back in 91'. REALLY regretted selling it. Was wondering if maybe that is the same car...
