Wanted: 73-74 SD Trans Am Will consider all Restoration needing cars, parts and projects Thanks Rich 519 264 9595 rjohns@sprint.ca
I know of one for sale by me, but it is close to perfect. The car has been for sale for about a year now. I know they want a lot for it. Supposedly it is a numbers matching SD car with only 14,500 miles and a standard. Let me know if you are interested and I will go and take a look at it for you. Just to let you know, a dealer has it.
Thanks Krazie I am looking for more of a project car as opposed to a restored car. Thanks of the offer
How about . . . Hi Rich! I have a 4 speed setup from a 68 GTO. .YES. . .I. . .DO. Actually, the tranny is a 70 coded GM "A" body, limited identification indicates it is from a Big Block GTO, 442, Buick GS or SS Chevelle. . .Its a clean Saginaw, good syncro's with a 3:55 first gear. .Its got the original Hurst Competition Plus shifter, Bell housing AND the original 68 GTO floor console .. (minus the lid) . . I am about to haul this setup to our local BOP Show/Swap on saturday 11/05. I am only asking $475 . . The console & shifter are worth that. . .I saw your ad and thought I'd ask if this would be something you'd be interested in? Wheelz, Tampa Bay Email me direct: PenWheelz@ij.net for pix.
I remember an original 1973 SD-455 Trans Am for sale here in the Netherlands, and words in the text about the low production of these cars. Just looked it up: Engine code LS2 1973 Pontiac SD-455 Trans Am - 252 produced, 72 with a manual transmission. 1974 Pontiac SD-455 Trans Am - 943 produced, 212 with a manual transmission.
If I'm not mistaken, the SD455 Formula was even rarer. And my former dentist in NJ has one. It's a 74. Red. He "may" be interested in selling. I would have to check. This is not a show car, but is very nice and complete. He is a Pontiac fanatic.
That's right Ken, but the thread is about the Trans Am, so I only typed that info. Only fifty 1973 model year Formulas came with the SD-455 engine :3gears: No figures here about the 1974 model year.
