Many of you may know I have my Blue1970 GS455 for sale. http://diversionmotors.com/1970_GS455.html I had a couple look at it last weekend that was interested in a 1970 GS455 to take to car shows and on an occasional cruise. They absolutely loved my car, but thought that with the modifications that it has it may be too much for them. They are still in search of a 1970 GS455 that is mostly stock, whether its original or restored as long as its complete, dependable and in A1 near perfect condition. (They told me that looking at my car raised the bar on what they were looking for and now their standard is going to be quite high). Here is what they are looking for with first and second options: 1970 GS455 Auto 1st choice 1971-1972 GS455 Auto 2nd choice Colors; o Red 1st choice o Blue 2nd choice o Black 3rd choice Hardtop with no vinyl roof 1st choice Convertible or vinyl roof 2nd choice If you have or know of a car for sale that matches this list please let me know with a reply or a PM. Ill show them the options and if they like what they see Ill have them contact you directly. Please keep in mind that whatever they end up purchasing it needs to be show ready and capable of winning some trophies at local shows. Price will be reflective of what the car is and its overall condition, but they are willing to spend some good money for the right car. Thanks, Steve
Guess price is the biggest " need to know". I know where there are several but they are Stage 1s and in the 50K-90K range, hardtops and convertibles.....
I think they are in the 30-40K range, as that should get them a very nice GS455. I'm not sure they want to step up to a nice Stage 1 or not, but I'll ask. Steve
They could get my 70GS455 Stage1 auto in the 30-40 range. Real Stage1 verified by VIN with docs, with replacement motor and original numbers matching trans. Rear end was largely replaced with Hotchkis racing parts but gearing is still roadworthy. Fully gone through mechanically and cosmetically by Mike Garrison. The restoration is about five years old with practically no miles. If they are looking for that perfect sleeper GS Stage1 car that can challenge anything in sight this is it. Fully gone through new paint, vinyl top, resprayed trunk, cleaned up underside with new exhaust, tires etc. etc. It would show great. To be fully candid what it needs is that the instrument bezels are a bit cloudy, and the inside rear view mirror needs resilvered or replaced. The outside right trishield mirror has some monor pits, but they are the holy grail to have (and $$$ in any condition) so I don't consider that to be a negative. But that's it. I can't think of anything else to improve. The steel wheels, dog dish, trim ring parts are brand new condition having been taken off a brand new car and stored for nearly 40 years in a garage. They have less than 500 miles on them. The car came with Ralleye wheels, but those are so commonly seen I thought these wheels would be more distinctive. I'd like to get it into posession of people who would use and enjoy it more, if anyone's interested. Mike
