I've been looking for one of these cars for about 3 years now. I've gone and looked at a few of them and I was going to actually buy one, but when I called to tell the guy id take he he said he just sold it I'm still looking for one, but it must be a numbers matching car. Any condition will be considered. I'd prefer one that hasn't had the engine or transmission rebuilt. Maybe some of you know where one is for me. Thanks for your time. Brian
I'm looking to spend around twenty thousand, giver take a little bit either way. I might be able to pull of around twenty-five thousand.

Brian, If you can live with a non-numbers block, the Jeff Poole has his 70 Stage 1 up for sale in the "Cars for Sale" section. He lives close by and I would be happy to go check it out and take some more pics if you are interested. Good luck.
I appreciate the offer, but I'm purchasing the car with my father and my father is set on a numbers matching car, so I'm going to have to pass on that. Thanks alot for the offer. Brian
That car has been for sale by the present owners for close to a year and been through at least one auction where it was a rerun. It shoud not take a year to sell a fair car at a fair price. A couple of weeks yes, nationally advertised for a year NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Perhaps with the passage of time they would now accept much less than the asking price so that a fair deal can now be completed.
Thanks alot, I appreciate it. Maybe I'll email them or call to see if something can be worked out. Brian
Brian - Do your homework first. I don't know what type of knowledge base you have, but I know of people who didn't do proper research on a car and didn't get what they bargained for in the end. We're here to help, and good luck in your search
Let me clarify that I am not saying the SC car is real. I have never inspected it. I agree with Marco that the burden is on the seller to prove that it is. I would then look for the matching numbers, then a 70 stage 1 carb, distrb., then a corrosion inspection etc.
Thanks for the input guys. I have done much research on buicks, especially the 70 stage 1. I know what the numbers should be etc. I appreciate it that you are looking out for me though and thanks. Brian
I just called Strand Classics today and I found out that the car is sold. So if any of you know of any others out there let me know.
I know somebody out there wants to sell their 70 Stage 1 car. Who wants to make me happy and part with their car?
Somebody posted here about a car for sale before the site went down and now his post is gone. I was just wondering if anybody know who posted it. Thanks. Brian
Brian, Looks like your thread has been hijacked! Good luck to you in your search. Have you searched on Auto Trader Nationally??
