My friend Steve called yesterday and he said that he got a e-mail regarding the car and we were trying to figure out the worth of the car, who nows, its all really negotiable!!!! plus triple white is pretty darn snazzie looking, I just do not know the value of these cars at all, you would have to haggle with him if anyone is interested in the car. Ron
I emailed him again today Ron and asked him to send some more info and pictures. Hard to say on value without it. As I recall, the last one that I saw sell was the project 4 speed and it was in the mid teens. The four speed probably helped it achieve that price point, given the work it needs. A restored automatic convertible could be bought in the low - mid thirties in this market. For example: http://alltypeauto.com/show.php?id=8&page=3&p=5&srt=make ASC A savvy buyer would probably start at that figure and then start subtracting for work needed to get the triple white one to that condition.
I think it is the same one. Not sure what has been done since though, if anything. The ad says "restored" and that it has a new interior, but I think it came with that when it was for sale. I don't think it had a numbers matching engine, but I can't recall for sure. Anyone know who owns it now? I just found this ad when I was searching for Stage 1's. Guy looks like he has a bunch of Buick's.
Great meeting and hanging with you as well Joe, was nice to put a face with the name. So you are a "car lot" and a "resto shop"?
