Hey Everyone - I'm lookng for a nice to better-than-average 1965 Skylark Coupe. I have several local options for 'project' cars but I'd really like to see if I can find something that's already done at a reasonable price. The ideal car will have decent paint or better, nice interior, and be in excellent mechanical condition. I don't mind having to replace a trim piece or two, but I want to stay away from the mechanic and/or body shop if possible. I'm looking for a car to keep and drive, not to re-sell. Also on the wish list is bucket seats and AC (factory or dealer installed). Lastly, it needs to be within reasonable driving distance of Seattle, WA. I see a lot of cars on CL/eBay that seem nice enough, but are just too far away. I don't want to ship a car, nor do I want to use up vacation days retrieving it from across the country. If you have, or know of such a car, please let me know either here or in a PM. If I don't find the car soon, the wife is going to make me get a 70's Camaro instead!!! :beer Cheers, Jeff ~
The black '65 for sale on here is local to me and is very nice. I'm headed to Seattle in the morning if you can make a quick deal! Got Mariners tickets for the 12th and 13th. No A/C car though... Brian
Jeff,if your still interested in mine i will drive it over...you have to dump me off at greyhound for me to get home though:Brow: Toss me an offer:TU:
Jamie, your car is at the top of my local 'project' list. I can appreciate how well your car runs and the upgrades; however, I want to see if there's anything out there that already has the paint & interior finished. On the other hand, I like that it's a nice clean slate for any color combo that I want... hmmm :beers2: Jeff ~
Jamie if your car had crossflow cooling instead of the earlier downflow it would have been mine by now and my 67 would be in somebody elses garage.
What appears to be a nice 65 Skylark with buckets in the Boise Craigs list, but it is a convertible, sure looks good in the pics, asking 8888.00. worth a look. Ron
Not Mine... One in Washington http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buic...c90QQitemZ290344639632QQptZUSQ5fCarsQ5fTrucks Another one in California http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buic...d28QQitemZ260470070568QQptZUSQ5fCarsQ5fTrucks
Interested in a 64 with a stage 2 455? Closer to $20K than $10K; I have itemized costs for 22K I think, and you couldn't buy most of the stuff on the list for that today, not to mention all of the labor. It is set up to be a high-11 second daily driver with a 200-4R, 12-bolt, A/C compressor install is all that is needed for new A/C. Bench seat column shift. It's a very nice driver quality, but not a show car. All of the hard work is done, just a few tinkery things left. I might sell it as a roller if a person were interested in that, too. It's in Salmon, ID but Spokane wouldn't be a huge problem.
Thanks for thinking of me Adam, but that's too much of a hot rod for me. I'm looking for something more stock/original that I can drive every day.
yep, I know, the "quick reply" doesn't work like it used to...:error: You got one of those things with the shower-curtain sun-roof?
