WANT TO DRIVE AN 8sec CAR ? HERE'S YOUR CHANCE !!!!

This has got to be one of the "WILDEST" videos I've ever seen. This puts you in the cockpit of Chris Chows Twin Turbo Small Block Chevy Grand National @ LasVegas for an actual 8sec pass !!!!!!!

HOLD ON !!!!!!!!!!!!! *(turn-up the volume) :jd: :jd: :jd: :jd: :jd: :jd: :jd: :jd: :jd: :jd:

That was awesome!!! I've tried to put the video camera under the passenger headrest and the starter made me remove it before the run.

    gscalifornia Small blocks rule!!

I recorded three runs from inside my California GS while at Salem. I had the camera on a tripod in the back seat and used the rear seat belts to tie it down. Only high 13 second runs, but it was fun watching! Problem is they're only Hi8 tapes and I have no way to download them into the computer.

One run was against Leanne Gray's 350 powered T. You hear us leave then ZOOM, you see her shoot out in front from the right lane! Beat me by a couple seconds!

I was surprised how well the audio picked things up. Now, if I moved the tach over a foot so it was in the camera view and ripped out the rear view mirror it would have been really cool!:3gears:

At about 40seconds into the video after the burn out he pushes a button. Is he playing with the radio? Wonder what he listened to for 8 seconds. LOL

The button he pushed sets his "ON BOARD VISUAL/AUDIBLE WARNING SYSTEM". It monitors and records all systems and guages and in the event something fails it's a visual and sound warning. I think after a run you can retrieve all the cars functions.
This is an awesome high tech machine !
