hi, my name is pete. i'm looking for the weatherstripping that goes around the rear tailgate door. does anyone know where i can get one. i've tried soffseal, restoration specialties, poston, steele rubber, fran bishop racing etc. is there maybe a club for wagons because vistas will fit also but im not sure for what years there the same. mine is flattened and allows fumes to enter. even if someone knows of a fix that would work. any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks pete.

If you send a sample to Steele Rubber at one time they would try to match it against their shapes.

    Pete,

You will find it easier to locate an air deflector that mounts to the roof and deflects air downward and pushes the fumes away from the window and tailgate opening.
I had both a '68 & '69 Sportwagon and could never find the correct seals for the tailgate.
Another trick is to have the tailpipes made to exit to either side of the car, behind the rear wheels.
I hope this helps some and good luck in your search.

    Matt
